Correlations and relativistic effects in (e,e′p) reactions — •S. Ulrych and H. Müther — Institut für Theoretische Physik
Universität Tübingen, Auf der Morgenstelle 14, D-72076 Tübingen
We investigate the influence of correlations and medium effects in (e,e′p) reactions in a relativistic framework and compare them to results derived within a nonrelativistic formalism. The nuclear current is evaluated between bound and scattering states obtained from a Dirac Brueckner Hartree-Fock calculation in finite nuclei. Cross-sections and response functions for 16O and 40Ca are calculated. The results are compared to a nonrelativistic reduction, where the influence of the medium, included in the effective mass, is neglected and a nonrelativistic current operator is used.
