The efficiency and energy resolution of the Composite and Segmented Ge detectors used in in-beam experiments depend on the proper realization of the add-back mode and Doppler correction. Digital processing of the detector signals [1] provides means to implement the required signal shape analysis. However, a huge processing power is needed to perform the digital analysis on-line. Therefore, a dedicated processing method has been worked-out. It utilizes pipe-line systolic processing and time-variant decimation. An Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) as a pre-processor and a DSP module as a post-processor have been designed based on these techniques. The method and its implementations as well as its integration in the main processing stream is discussed.
