The residuum of the triton energy spectrum dN/dTt of the muon capture reaction µ 3He → t + ν µ was processed through a filter. The filtered spectrum was analyzed at Tt = 1.70 MeV corresponding to Mν = 33.9 MeV/c2 searching for a massive weak interacting particle[1] which was reported to have been observed with the KARMEN detector.
