We study the perturbative evolution of the twist–2 parton distributions calculated at low normalization point within the chiral soliton model of the nucleon [1]. The “valence–like” input distributions (nonsingular at small x) are evolved using the leading–order DGLAP equation. We compare the radiatively generated parton distributions with standard parametrizations as well as directly with structure function data at large Q2. We investigate the dependence of the results on the normalization point of the input distributions, Q02. We also report about the status of next-to-leading order calculations.
