QMD simulations and experiments on the fullerene collisions — •Alex Glotov and Eleanor E.B. Campbell — Max-Born-Institut, Rudower Chaussee 6, D12489 Berlin

We present extentions of QMD calculations of Cn+ + Cn collisions (n = 60, 70) using density functional formalism [1]. Calculated fusion cross sections will be presented and the values are in excellent agreement with experiments. Phase transitions will be discussed. The results of experiments on the angular dependence of fullerene collisions involving fragmentations will be presented.
