Scalar field theory on a FRW background and semiclassical back-reaction — •H. Wissowski and H.A. Kastrup — Institut f. Theor. Physik E, RWTH Aachen, 52056 Aachen
We study a quantized massive
real scalar field with an infinite number of degrees of
freedom propagating on a classical Friedman-Robertson-Walker background.
Solving the associated
Schr"odinger
equation we calculate the
back-reaction on the metric by using the energy-momentum tensor.
Results are compared to those of a point particle (massive spatially
homogenous field) on FRW, Bianchi-I
and -III backgrounds studied earlier by the authors.
