Object Oriented Database Management Systems (ODBMS)[1][2] are emerging in the Database Market as the products that can efficiently face the ever increasing demand for a more flexible data access and management posed by the present and future High Energy Physics Experiments.
The main features of this new ODBMS technology will be described using as a case study the development of an ODBMS-Based Event Store for the ZEUS Experiment at HERA.
