Influence of coupling on the radiation emitted from stacked Josephson junction. — •E. Goldobin1 and A.V. Ustinov21Institut für Schicht- und Ionentechnik, Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, D-52425 Jülich — 2Physikalisches Institut III, Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, D-91054, Erlangen

For a stack of two weakly-coupled long Josephson junctions (JJ), we show that the fluxon velocity in one junction can be continuously tuned by changing the current in the other junction which remains at zero voltage. This effect can be observed by detecting the radiation emitted in the single fluxon propagation mode or by measuring differential resistance of Zero Field Step (ZFS). We perform analytical study of this effect and calculate the change in linewidth and frequency of the emitted radiation as a function of bias current via second JJ. The predictions of our model are compared with recent experimental data and further proposal for experiments is made.
