Mechanical response of vibrating high-Tc superconducting films under a dc-current — •F. Ciovacco1, P. Esquinazi1, and M. Lorenz21Abteilung Supraleitung und Magnetismus, Universität Leipzig, 04103 Leipzig — 2Institut für Experimental Physik II, Universität Leipzig, 04103 Leipzig

We have studied the response of vibrating high-Tc thin films in a magnetic field as a function of dc current. The used experimental setup is similar to the vibrating reed arrengement; instead of the usual capacitive detection method, we use laser interferometry which provides larger sensitivity. Preliminary results indicate a relatively large shift of the thermally activated depinning transition with current. For example, the depinning temperature of a 200 nm thin film of Y123 superconductor decreases 2 K by applying a dc current of 50 mA.
