In 1996, the Crystal Barrel collaboration has used a silicon vertex detector to enhance the statistics on channels with K_s’s. The p-annihilation in liquid deuterium to K_sK⁻π⁰ and K_sK_sπ⁻ with a spectator proton provides several advantages in meson spectroscopy. Selection rules restrict the number of contributing partial waves, so that a coupled channel analysis allows the precise study of the KK-S-wave resonances.
