Effects of correlations in relativistic A(e,e′p)B calculations * — •S. Ulrych and H. Müther — Institut für Theoretische Physik

Recently, the importance of the Dirac structure and the momentum dependence of the nucleon self-energy in nuclear matter has become issue of various investigations. Although the momentum dependence of the self-energies is weak, it should not be neglected in a Dirac Brueckner Hartree-Fock calculation, since this leads e.g. to a wrong isospin dependence in asymmetric nuclear matter [1]. An inclusion of the momentum dependence influences the value of the effective mass. To include the correlations of the nucleon-nucleon interaction in the description of finite nuclei, this effective mass is parametrized in terms of density dependent coupling constants. Consequently, the resulting bound state wave function is modified, which can be investigated within the quasi-elastic A(e,e′p)B reaction. In order to disentangle the effects of distortion from the influence of correlations on the bound state wave function, the study of response functions and reduced cross sections is restricted to the relativistic PWIA.
