With the polarized neutron beam at PSI the spin dependent π− production on protons has been investigated from threshold to 570 MeV. Pions from the reaction n→ p → π− p p were detected in the angular range 0∘≤ Θπ,lab ≤ 15∘ with a magnetic spectrometer, equipped with drift chambers. Asymmetries have been determined as functions of the incident energy, the pp invariant mass, and the pion center–of–mass angle. Preliminary results will be presented and discussed.
