We study the interaction between pion-like pseudoscalar mesons consisting of two light valence quarks within four-dimensional Lattice QCD. To extract the residual forces we employ a method, generalized from [1], that starts from the full time-correlation function of the corresponding two-hadron system, and does not involve any free parameters. We obtain attractive potentials between the pseudoscalar mesons. A related study with mesons consisting of one infinitely heavy and one light valence quark also yields an attractive interaction potential of short range.
