Pion form factor with improved infrared factorization — •H.-Ch. Kim and N. G. Stefanis — Institut für Theoretische Physik II, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, D-44780 Bochum Germany

We investigate the pion form factor in the spacelike region using an analytic model for the running strong coupling constant which is infrared finite. We present results for the standard factorization scheme as well as the modified one which accounts for Sudakov effects. An in-depth discussion of the present status of the pion wave function is given.
