We present a theoretical analysis of transverse flow observables in Au+Au reactions in the energy range from 250 to 800 MeV/A, which have recently been extensively investigated by the FOPI collaboration [1]. Collective flow in and perpendicular to the reaction plane is investigated in detail with respect to impact parameter dependence using the transverse energy ratio or fragment multiplicity. These rather complete flow data offer the possibility to obtain more stringent information on the equation-of-state of nuclear matter. We perform relativistic transport calculations with phenomenological non-linear Walecka models and with mean fields extracted from microscopic Dirac-Brueckner results using the local density (LDA) or the local phase space configuration (LCA) approximation [2], where the latter contains non-equilibrium effects in the mean field. The analyses show that the microscopic forces give a reasonable overall description of flow observables. This demostrates that such forces are appliable in heavy ion reactions as well as in nuclear matter and finite nuclei.
