The first beamtime for the Crystal Barrel Detector at ELSA (Bonn) is dedicated to the calibration of the barrel after the replacement of the old ADC-system of the CERN-experiment to a new Fastbus-based system. The reaction p(γ,η)p near threshold will be used for the precalibration of the crystals. The fine-calibration will be done with the much larger statistics from the P₃₃-resonance decaying into π⁰-mesons. A combined measurement of the channels p(γη)p, p(γπ⁰)p and p(γπ⁺)n allows the determination of the decay branching ratios of the S₁₁(1535).
