Mini-orange spectrometers for γ-e− coincidence spectroscopy at Euroball∗ — •E. Mergel1, J. Domscheit1, D. Roßbach1, B. Aengenvoort1, H. Hübel1, and W. Korten2 — 1ISKP, Univ. Bonn — 2DAPNIA/SPhN, CEA Saclay
Two different setups of mini-orange conversion-electron spectrometers
have been built to be used for γ-e− coincidence
spectroscopy in conjunction with the Euroball array. The first setup,
for low-energy electrons up to about 400 keV, uses a mini-orange
filter magnet and a segmented annular Si detector (D. Roßbach et al.,
contribution to this conf.) in collinear geometry at backward
angles. The compact design fits into the inner free space of
Euroball.
The second setup consists of three mini-orange spectrometers
with 5mm thick Si(Li) detectors. They are designed for high-energy
electrons up to about 3 MeV. Due to the space requirements of the
ℓN2-cooled Si(Li) detectors the tapered Ge detectors under
forward angles in Euroball have to be removed. Test measurements with
the two setups will be reported.
