Generation of energy spectra and matrices in reaction measurements using position-sensitive, multi-layer detectors — •M. Hachenberg, M. Eggert, M. Menzel, M. Przyborowski, and H. Paetz gen. Schieck — Institut f"ur Kernphysik, Universit"at zu K"oln
The analysis of three-particle breakup reactions
at various energies (up to 20 MeV) and different reaction mechanisms
is one of the reasearch fields of our workgroup.
Besides conventional Si semiconductor detectors,
we use position-sensitive, multi-layer detectors.
The computation of the energy spectra and various matrices
of a specific experiment from the different detector signals
is done with the program 3TSpectra.
It is running under X-Windows in various operating systems
(e.g. Linux, SOLARIS).
The program configuration allows the free definition of the experiment
in its technical (detector-type, signal read-out)
and physical (detectors, angles) structure.
The graphical user interface (GUI) of the program shows
the spectra and matrices depending on the configuration
and supports the calibration and cuts on them.
It is used to control the detectors and measurement
online while taking data as well as the offline-generation of the
energy spectra and matrices for further evaluation.
