Wavelet-correlations in phase transitions of nuclear matter — •J. Giesemann1 and M. Greiner2 — 1Institut für Theoretische Physik, Technische Universität, Dresden — 2Max-Planck-Institut für Physik komplexer Systeme, Dresden
In relativistic heavy-ion collisions a phase transition of nuclear matter is widely discussed. Near the critical temperature fluctuations in phase space become selfsimilar. As a consequence a correlation analysis with a selfsimilar wavelet basis should represent an efficient tool to observe the phase transition. This is confirmed for the Ising model and the Landau-Ginzburg model.
