To study |3−⊗ 3−;0+,2+,4+,6+⟩-excitations in 208Pb which
are expected near the harmonical limit at 2 × Ex (31−) ≃ 5230 keV
we compare our data from (p,p’)-, (d,d’)-, (α,α′)-experiments with
( d→,p), with
those from literature (e.g. M. Schramm, Phd., HMI and FU Berlin, 1993) and
with expectations.
In (p,p’) and (d,d’) we observe the |3−⊗3−;0+, 5241 keV⟩-state which
γ-decay scheme was recently studied by Yeh et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 76 (1996) 1206).
According to our (d,d’) coupled-channel analysis
this state has an almost pure two-phonon-octupole character.
We also observe in this energy range new states with natural positive parity
which are potentially the other members of the two-phonon-quartet. They
will be discussed with regards to the expectation
of respective one-particle-one-hole and two-particle-two-hole states.
