Off-shell Effects in Nucleon-Nucleon Bremsstrahlung and Compton Scattering — •S. Scherer2 and H. W. Fearing11TRIUMF, 4004 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada V6T 2A3 — 2Institut f"ur Kernphysik, Johannes Gutenberg-Universit"at, J. J. Becher Weg 45, D-55099 Mainz

The investigation of off-shell effects in the NN amplitude as well as in the electromagnetic vertex of the nucleon has for a long time been an important issue in NN bremsstrahlung (NNγ). Only recently has it explicitly been shown that the off-shell NN amplitude is as a matter of principle an unmeasurable quantity in NNγ [1]. We extend the analysis for the spin-0 case [1,2] to include the spin of the nucleon. We simultaneously discuss the role of field transformations and the so-called equation-of-motion terms in NNγ and Compton scattering.
