All solar neutrino experiments, performed so far, show a significant lower neutrino flux compared to the expectations from the standard solar model. This usally is referred to as solar neutrino problem. Astrophysical solutions to this puzzle nowadays seem to be unlikely. In contrast the experimental data can be interpreted as hints on non-standard neutrino properties. In order to solve this problem it is necessary to measure the flux of each individual branch of the pp-cycle; hence solar neutrino spectroscopy has to be performed. I will report about the status of solar neutrino experiments and will discuss projects like BOREXINO, GNO, SNO and SUPERKAMIOKANDE which should yield informations required to determine the solar neutrino spectrum within the next years.
