Development of All-Aluminium Mirrors for Imaging Cherenkov Teleskopes — •J.A. Barrio — Max-Planck-Institut für Physik (Werner-Heisenberg-Institut, Föhringer-Ring 6, D-80805 München

The production and properties of light weight all-aluminium sandwich mirror elements for imaging Cherenkov telescopes is described. The reflecting surface is obtained by diamond machining of the mirror front aluminium plate, which is afterwards anodically protected. This technology has been applied for HEGRA CT1 telescope.
