The laser-induced fluorescence
observed from a Cs/Hg vapor mixture after excitation with
several different laser wavelengths differs significantly
from the fluorescence observed from pure Cs vapor. Additional
to the fluorescence of the Cs atom and Cs2 molecule three distinct emissions
at λ=492.8 nm, 498.3 nm and 521.5 nm appear.
Applying ab inition potential curves [1] of CsHg this new
features in the fluorescence of a Cs/Hg vapor mixture
are identified as bound-free transitions in
the CsHg molecule.
