Glass transition in a Fredrickson Model with long and short ranged interactions — •Bo Zheng and Michael Schulz — Fachbereich Physik, Universität Halle, 06099 Halle (Saale)

The addition of ferromagnetic short ranged interactions and stochastic long ranged interactions with an antiferromagnetic coupling (modeling the amorphous structure of a glass) to the neighbor-facilitated Fredrickson model shows the existence of a nearly non-activated relaxation for T<Tc simultaneously with the main α-process. A typical curvature is found for the α-process in the lnτ versus T−1 plot, which shows a crossover to an Arrhenius-behavior for low T and finite coupling constants.
