Quantum particles interacting with classical electromagnetic fields — •Jan Philip Solovej — Department of Mathematics University of Copenhagen

We discuss a theory of quantum mechanics with classical electromagnetic fields. We discuss how this theory for sufficiently small values of the fine structure constant leads to stability. But in particular we discuss the instability which occurs for large values of the coupling constant.
