Dynamical Localization for Random Hamiltonians — •Jean-Marie Barbaroux1, Jean-Michel Combes2, and Werner Fischer31Mathematik, Universitaet Regensburg, D-93040 Regensburg — 2CPT-CNRS, Luminy, F-13288 Marseille Cedex 09 — 3Theorische Physik, Universitaet Erlangen-Nuernberg, Staudstrasse7, D-91058 Erlangen

The study of random Schroedinger operators modelling, e.g., crystal with impurities has often been limited to an analysis of the spectrum. We show, however, that there are non random examples for which pure point spectrum is not related to absence of conductivity. Nevertheless, we are able to give sufficient conditions to prove dynamical localization (no conductivity). We then apply these results to some specific models, including for instance the Anderson model with correlated potentials, and wave operators with random mass density.
