The problem of Luttinger chains coupled by a weak single-particle hopping t⊥[1] is studied by means of a diagrammatic expansion in powers of t⊥ and by exact diagonalization. The expectation value of the interchain hopping and the warping of the Fermi surface show a power-law behavior whose exponent can be calculated at all order in the expansion as a function of the Luttinger exponent α [2]. A numerical analysis is in a very good accordance with the expressions for the exponents obtained in this way further showing that finite-size effects can be very well described in terms of an α-dependent universal scaling function [3]. We analyze the effects on these exponents of the particle-hole-hopping regime occurring for α greater than a certain critical value.
