A nuclear resonance fluorescence experiment on the N=50 nucleus
88Sr has been performed at the
S-DALINAC accelerator with an electron energy of 6.8 MeV and
the linear
polarization of the scattered photons has been measured. A
EUROBALL CLUSTER detector has been used as Compton
polarimeter for γ-rays with 1.8 MeV < Eγ <
6.5 MeV.
For the 4.743 MeV state which has been considered until now [1] as the
1− two-phonon state with a 2+ ⊗ 3− structure
positive parity has been found. The structure of this 1+ state
and that of other newly observed states is discussed in the
framework of QPM calculations.
