A local potential for the residual mesons-antimeson interaction with mesons consisting of a heavy and a light quark is computed in quenched lattice QCD with Kogut-Susskind fermions. We start from the time-correlation function of the corresponding two-hadron system without free parameters. We project into the I=0 and I=1 isospin channels. Attractive potentials for short distances are obtained indicating the absence of resonant states.
