Black Holes with Yang-Mills Hair — •Jutta Kunz and Burkhard Kleihaus — Fachbereich Physik, Universität Oldenburg, Postfach 2503, D-26111 Oldenburg, Germany
In recent years counterexamples to the “no hair” conjecture were established in various theories with non-abelian fields, including Einstein-Yang-Mills, Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs and Einstein-Skyrme theory. Possessing non-trivial matter fields outside their regular event horizon, these non-abelian black hole solutions are no more completely determined by their global charges. Besides static spherically symmetric black hole solutions with non-abelian hair, there are static black hole solutions with only axial symmetry and even static black hole solutions with only discrete crystal symmetries.
