The semiclassical Hermann – Kluk – propagator — •F. Keck, H. J. Korsch, and B. Schellhaaß — FB Physik Universität, 67653 Kaiserslautern
Several approaches of semiclassical initial value representations are widely used. The main advantage of such methods is that they do not require searches for classical trajectories that satisfy special boundary conditions. Here we consider the Hermann – Kluk – Propagator, for which exists a large amount of applications. The related coherent state propagator was derived with canonical transformations by Weissman 1982. There are several publications which refer to a derivation with path integrals, but this kind of derivation is, to our knowledge, not yet completely published. We present such a derivation here. In addition we show some applications such as the computation of resonances and energy splittings..
