Superfluid effects in trapped Bose gases — •Sandro Stringari — Dipartimento di Fisica, Universita di Trento, I-38050 POVO (Italy)

The possibility of pointing out effects of superfluidity in trapped Bose gases will be discussed. Special emphasis will be given to the behaviour of quantized vortices in these nonuniform systems at both zero and finite temperature. The problem of stability, creation and detection of vortices will be discussed.
