B-Physics Potential with the CDF Detector at the Tevatron Run II — •Gary Barker, Michael Feindt, and Hans Wenzel — Institut für Experimentelle Kernphysik, Universität Karlsruhe
We report on the potential of the CDF II detector to exploit the expected 2fb−1 yield of the Tevatron Run II for B-physics. Highlights of the B-physics program include the measurement of CP asymmetries in B0 decays with precisions comparable to those expected from the b-factories at KEK and PEP and at HERA-B. In addition Run II will provide CDF with a unique laboratory, until the start of the LHC, for studies of CP violation and mixing in the Bs0 system and the spectroscopy of heavier B-hadron states.
