Measurement of αs from DiJet Rates in Deep Inelastic Scattering at HERA — •E. Tassi — DESY, Notkestraße 85, 22607 Hamburg
We have studied dijet production at medium and high Q2 in Deep Inelastic Scattering using data collected in the years 1996-97 with the ZEUS detector at HERA. Measured dijet differential cross sections and rates have been compared with NLO QCD calculations [1] [2] for the longitudinally invariant KT algorithm. The dijet rates when fitted to perturbative QCD predictions allow a precise determination of the energy scale dependence of the strong coupling constant.
