We investigated electron beam co-deposited granular Co10Cu90-Films. These films were tempered for several hours from 100oC to 350oC in 25oC steps and characterized by X-ray and magnetization measurements [1]. These measurements revealed Co grain sizes from 2nm to 4nm and ferromagnetic, superparamagnetic and giant magnetoresistance behaviour depending on the
different tempering Temperatures.
The ferromagnetic resonance investigations revealed an uniaxial in-plane
and out-of-plane anisotropy for samples up to 275oC due to shape
anisotropies
in the Co-particles in the Cu matrix. Additionally a in-plane four-fold
anisotropy is detected in the as prepared sample which is decreasing in
intensity and vanishing in samples tempered at 225oC. This
anisotropy is
due to the interaction of the Co-Particles in some parts of the sample.
All this confirms the high structural quality of the films. Temperature
dependent measurements.
