The diffusion coefficients are practically equal for the reactants of such well-studied chemical reaction-diffusion systems as the Belouzov-Zhabotinsky reaction. Applying a stochastic electric field, one enhances the existing thermal stochastic motion of the reacting ions. For a sufficiently slow physical-chemical process, this enhanced stochastic motion of the ions appears similar to an enhanced diffusivity of these particles. The oregonator model with different diffusion coefficients is considered. The propagating wave solutions for reagent concentrations are obtained and their stability is studied. The influence of experimental parameters is discussed.
