Quasiparticle calculations for II-VI compounds — •Andrzej Fleszar and Werner Hanke — Theoretische Physik I, Uni Würzburg, 97074 Würzburg

We will review our calculations of the electronic structure of a few II-VI compounds (BeTe, BeSe, MgTe, CdTe, CdS, HgSe) done within the LDA and GW approximations. The importance of various physical factors, technical details and cutoffs present in the calculations will be discussed.
