Influence of the band structure on the transition temperature and the pseudogap of high-temperature superconductors — •F. Schäfer, D. Manske, and K.H. Bennemann — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Freie Universität Berlin, Arnimallee 14, 14195 Berlin, Germany

In electronic theories of high-temperature superconductors the nesting properties of the fermi surface play a crucial role for the pairing mechanism. Within a single-band Hubbard model of the CuO2 planes we investigate the influence of the band structure on the spin-fluctuation-induced pairing interaction and the symmetry of the resulting order parameter. Spin fluctuation and the electronic properties are treated in a self-consistent way [1]. We discuss the influence of an orthorombic distortion on the three characteristic temperature scales, in particular the temperature T* of the pseudogap, which were determined recently [2].
