Transport properties of disordered interacting spinful electrons — •Svetlana Kilina, Thomas Vojta, and Michael Schreiber — Institut für Physik, Technische Universität, D-09107 Chemnitz
We study the influence of the electron spin on the properties of disordered interacting electrons. The investigations are based on a generalization of the quantum Coulomb glass. This model describes spinful electrons in a random potential interacting via a long-range Coulomb potential (which is necessary for a complete description of the insulating phase). We are particularly interested in the localization and transport properties. The corresponding physical quantities, i.e. conductance, single-particle return probability, and Fock-space participation number, are calculated by numerically exact diagonalization. The results indicate that the electron spin can drastically influence the transport properties.
