Tunneling in static electric and magnetic fields — •Tobias Kramer, Christian Bracher, and Manfred Kleber — Institut für Theoretische Physik T30, Physik-Department der Technischen Universität München, James-Franck-Str., D-85747 Garching
We derive and discuss the energy dependent propagator (Green function) for hamiltonians quadratic in the canonical operators. Tunneling of electrons out of a bound state into electric and magnetic fields is an important application. We predict the current density distribution of the photodetachment microscope (see [1] for an experiment) in the presence of a magnetic field.
