Dependence of the BEC transition temperature on interaction strength: A rigorous analysis — •Meret Krämer, Martin Wilkens, and Fabrizio Illuminati — Institut für Physik, Universität Potsdam, Am Neuen Palais 10, 14469 Potsdam
We present first results on the application of simple perturbation theory to the interaction-strength dependence of the transition temperature of Bose-Einstein condensation in a homogeneous system. To first order, the absolute value compares well with the recent results by Baym and collaborators, and Monte-Carlo simulations of the Paris group, but the predicted shift comes with the opposite sign.
