High order harmonic generation of ultrashort laser pulses has become a useful tool for the generation of ultrashort deep UV pulses. We have used a very simple hollow fiber scheme and obtained efficient harmonic generation with pulses of about 70 - 80 fs from a Ti:Sapphire laser system at a repetition rate of 1 kHz. It is important to optimize the gas pressure, fiber length and pulse parameter in order to get efficient harmonic generation. We have studied the spectral changes both of the fundamental and different harmonics after the fiber. We will discuss the harmonic generation using pulses with different shapes and phases.
