The extensions of the Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism of Lagrangian quantization of general gauge theories with either irreducible or reducible gauge algebra will be given taking into account BRST as well as antiBRST symmetry. The Sp(2)- and the osp(1,2)-covariant quantizations and their superfield formulations will be presented. Some applications will be discussed.
