Expected performance of the ATLAS level-1 calorimeter trigger system — •Kambiz Mahboubi — Kirchhoff-Institut für Physik, Schröder Straße 90, 69120 Heidelberg

The performance of the ATLAS level-1 calorimeter trigger system has been evaluated by using a fast simulation of the ATLAS detector. This fast simulation includes a parametrization of the calorimeter response and resolution, as well as a parametrization of the lateral and longitudinal shower development. It has been extracted from fully simulated GEANT data. The details of the parametrization, the expected rates for the main triggers, as well as the trigger acceptance for some specific physics processes are presented.
