The Dicke effects in dots and wires — •T. Brandes — 1. Inst. Theor. Physik, Universität Hamburg, Jungiusstr. 9, 20355 Hamburg

We give a short review of coherent effects in the transport properties of coupled quantum dots and wires. In double dots, spontaneous emission of phonons (as identified in the inelastic current [1]) appears as the Dicke subradiance channel, known from quantum optics and ion traps. Coupled dots can exhibit the superradiance effect [2].

In disordered quantum wires, we predict the spectral line narrowing [3] to appear in the AC-Drude conductivity for strong magnetic fields.
