Giant interaction induced delocalization for more than two particles — •O. Halfpap and B. Kramer — I. Institut für Theoretische Physik, Jungiusstraße 9, D-20355 Hamburg
We investigate directly the localization properties of few interacting particles in one dimension by studying their time evolution. The initially localized wave packets spread out in time and saturate to a finite mean square displacement for long times, indicating the localization of all states in the spectrum. Using a finite size scaling ansatz, we calculate the localization length for two, three, and four particle wave packets in the limit of infinite system size. The interaction induced delocalization becomes stronger and stronger with increasing particle number, but without leading to a metallic state in one dimension.
