Luttinger liquid behavior in carbon nanotubes — •Reinhold Egger — Institute for Theoretical Physics, Santa Barbara, USA

In this talk I discuss Coulomb interaction effects in both single- and multi-wall carbon nanotubes [1,2]. Coulomb interactions in such one-dimensional conductors induce a breakdown of Fermi liquid theory and, under certain restrictions, lead to a realization of the Luttinger liquid model. Particular emphasis is put on correlation effects in experimentally relevant transport properties.
