Pinning of flux lines on point-like defects depends on both the magnitude and symmetry of the order parameter and the coupling strength of the pinning sites. We study pinning at point-like defects in untwinned single crystals of YBa2Cu3O7−δ. In this material, pinning should be dominated by oxygen-defects. The density of these defects can be controlled by annealing under oxygen pressure or in reducing atmosphere. The reactive and dissipative pinning forces are measured with the vibrating reed technique [1]. We compare the data with calculations in the limit of small oscillations of the flux lines in their pinning potential.
