Lowest bound states of H− in strong magnetic fields — •Omar-Alexander Al-Hujaj and Peter Schmelcher — Physikalisch-Chemisches Institut, Universität Heidelberg, INF 229, 69120 Heidelberg
The lowest bound states of the hydrogen negative ion in a homogeneous magnetic field are investigated theoretically via a full configuration-interaction approach with an anisotropic Gaussian basis set. The broad magnetic field regime γ=8× 10−4 – 105 is covered. The calculations were performed in the infinite mass frame.
